The design of the Peacock is inspired by the magnificent ceremonial fans of Indian maharajas. Fanning oneself with air served not only as an early form of cooling but was also an expression of power and luxury. The opulent Sensu Punkah Peacock is crafted from up to 200 peacock feathers. These feathers come from male peacocks that naturally shed their feathers after the mating season. The feathers are collected, cleaned, and sterilized, then carefully selected by hand and shaped into an impressive peacock fan. Gold-colored appliqués add elegant accents.
